Private Thomas Shields Co. G.


Thomas Shields served as a Private in Co. G. He lost a leg at the Fredericksburg/Chancellorsville battle on 5th May, 1863. The photograph above is of Thomas at the Armory Square Hospital in Washington D.C. in about 1870.
